Sequoia Concerts Resumes Activities in October 2009

After a hiatus of almost 3 years after the founder of Sequoia Concerts relocated to Southern CA from the SF Bay Area, (see History page) Sequoia Concerts is ready again to begin its work.

Working closely with the Music Teachers Association of California, Sequoia Concerts will present an "Annual Autumn Young Pianist Recital" in Claremont, CA on Oct. 18th, 2009. More details about this concert are given on the Concerts page.

Every Organization has a purpose and Sequoia Concerts works hard to fulfill the dreams of many aspiring classical pianists by presenting their programs to the public.

Having as its mission "the creation of performance opportunities to for the pianistic expression of classical pianists of any age" with the organizational goal of utilizing their professional skills to bring enjoyment and inspiration through this music for the public, Sequoia Concerts faces an exciting challenge.

Sequoia Concerts is a community organization that provides the interest, enthusiam and practical means for classical recital giving and organizes pianists to perform concerts in many different types of venues. In the past, we have used small concert halls, libraries and religious venues.

The public gains the chance to view, listen, relax, and contemplate and understand themselves through listening to a wide variety of pianists present the vast treasure of the solo piano literature.
