Our Beginnings

Founded in San Francisco, in 2003 and active there until 2006 Sequoia Concerts is a recognized 501c charitable and educational non-profit organization. During that time, we have produced 14 concerts within 3 separate concert series venues in the San Francisco Bay Area. Venues have included the Berkeley City Club, First Universalist Unitarian Society and the Piedmont Piano Company.

The very first concert of Sequoia Concerts was given at the First Universalist Unitarian Society in San Francisco on August 1st, 2003 by internationally renowned pianist, Eduardo Delgado.

Since that time many performers have enjoyed performing for Sequoia Concerts, including solo concerts by pianists Kumaran Arul, Esther Chan, Alan Dunn, Svetozar Ivanov, Machiko Kobialka, Michael Sellers, Scott Pratt and William Wellborn in the "Piedmont Piano Concert Series" in South Beach San Francisco, "Piano Evenings in San Francisco" in the city and the "Music That Fascinates" series in Berkeley, in an elegant club designed by world famous architect Julia Morgan.
